Ewan McGregor gets a dog

Ewan McGregor has a new best friend and his wife isn’t happy!

The Trainspotting star has finally got his way and added a dog to his happy family, even though his wife is allergic to pooches.

“Eve, and she’s allergic to dogs and cats, and horses so we never had a dog,” says Ewan.

“But when I was doing this film,Beginners, she came to visit me on set and she saw me with Cosmo (the dog featured in the film). I became close to Cosmo, I became really friendly with him. He’s a lovely little dog. I started talking to her, that I’d really like to get one. So we started looking and on the very last day of the shoot, funny enough, I found my dog Sid on a website for a foundation called The Lang Foundation, in LA. His picture was there. We picked him up, and that was it. He’s my little Cosmo replacement!”

AR Rahman Had Bought The Oscar Award By Paying

Bollywood music director Ismail Durbar has claimed that AR Rahman had bought the Oscar Award by paying for it.

This had stirred the hornet’s nest with several people in the film industry alleging that Durbar is making such statements for some cheap publicity.

On the other hand, AR Rahman has said that there is certainly no money involved in the Oscar Awards. He added that the coveted award is given with the consensus of about 3000 people and it is impossible to buy it.

The film fraternity has appealed to Durbar to refrain from making such comments. They added that every Indian should be proud that AR Rahman had achieved this feat by sheer hard work and hence should not doubt its veracity.

Magistrate Declared Kavya Madhavan And Nischal Divorced

The Ernakulam Family Court had issued a divorce decree to Kavya Madhavan. The actress was married to Nischal Chandra, who is employed as an officer in Kuwait.

Soon after marriage, Kavya quit acting to stay with her husband in Kuwait.

However, within five months of marriage she developed differences of opinion with her husband and returned to India. She then filed for divorce and continued to concentrate on her acting career.

Her divorce came up for hearing recently and the magistrate declared Kavya and Nischal divorced.

Superstar Rajinikanths Health Is Fast Improving

Rajinikanth, who is undergoing treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre in Singapore, has been shifted to the private ward where he has been allotted a suite.

The Superstar was in the Intensive Care Unit but the doctors felt that he can be shifted to the private ward as his health is fast improving.

Following this, he was shifted to the private ward where the doctors will continue with the treatment.

Rajini has been admitted for kidney related problems and the doctors are analyzing if he requires a kidney transplant, it is said.

Amitabh Recommended The Hospital For Rajini’s Treatment

Amitabh Bachchan had recommended the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre for Rajinikanth’s treatment, sources in Kollywood say.

The Big B is a close buddy of Rajinikanth and when he came to know that he was suffering from kidney disorder, he immediately rushed to his rescue.

Amitabh recommended the hospital for Rajini’s treatment because his close associate Amar Singh had undergone a kidney transplant at the same hospital and he was doing fine.

Following Big B’s advice, the Superstar’s family decided to pursue his medical treatment there.

Raja Pattai Vikram’s New Film With Suseendran

Vikram’s new film with Suseendran is to be called Raja Pattai produced by SP Creations. Dheekshs Seth, the gorgeous babe who made a name for herself in the Telugu film industry will be his heroine.

Suseendran, director of films like Vennila Kabaddi Kulu, Naan Mahaan Alla, and Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai will be giving the audience yet another different film with Raja Pattai. This flick is going to be a genre-bender that combines action, romance, and comedy.

The story is set in Chennai, so shooting will proceed in and around the city and is likely to be completed within a span of 60 days. There are five songs in this film. Massive sets are being erected for three of them, while location scouts are hunting for never – before – seen spots abroad for the other two.

Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the music. Camera will be handled by Madhie. National award winner, Thambi Ramiah and director Viswanath are also part of the cast.

Velayudham Vijay At Director Jayam Raja Birthday Party

Director Jayam Raja received a pleasant surprise on his birthday. Workaholic that he is, he was busy shooting some sequences for Velayudham at Binny Mills.

During an intermission, he was in for a shock as a beautifully decorated cake was wheeled in with his name on it.

The director was quite overcome with joy and he cut the cake while the entire unit cheered for him and wished him a Happy Birthday.

It turned out that Vijay had planned the whole celebration and kept it a secret from him.

Thoughtful person that he is he had also arranged surprise parties for Hansika, cinematographer Priyan, and Saranya Mohan on their birthdays. Very sweet of him, we must say.

Cheryl Cole reportedly bullied by Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul “made Cheryl Cole's life hell” during the singer’s brief stint on the US X Factor juding panel, Now Magazine reveals.

“Paula didn't take to Cheryl at all and treated her like they were in high school,” a source told the weekly womens magazine.

“She completely blanked her and pretended not to know anything about her,” the source continued. “

“Cheryl was supposed to sit next to Simon, but Paula threw a tantrum and Simon backed down. Paula was really passive aggressive and she said things to Cheryl like: ‘That's an interesting outfit - you have unusual style.’ “ Ouch!

Cole was reportedly sacked from the US Factor because producers worried her thick Geordie accent would be impossible for US viewers to understand and also because she lacked chemistry with onetime US pop star Paula Abdul, according to US gossip site TMZ.

Sounds like a lack of chemistry was the least of Chezza’s problems though. The Now source added:

“Cheryl has told pals she feels there was a conspiracy to make her life as difficult as possible on the set.”

“It was things like the crew and production people constantly going: "Huh?" and "What?" at everything she said when the network bosses were around. 'It was as if they went out of their way to prove a point."

“The friend says Cheryl was dragged into a producers' meeting a few days before the axing and told she ‘had to be more combative with Paula in auditions'."

"The pal adds: ‘She tried her best, but every time she piped up someone - usually Paula - would say they didn't understand her. Cheryl was fuming and she confronted Paula about her bitchy attitude. will.i.am 'X Factor axe no problem for Cheryl'

Will.i.am has said that being axed from The X Factor USA will be "no problem" for Cheryl Cole.
The Black Eyed Peas man claimed that Cole would get over the disappointment and could still break America.
"She always comes back stronger, and she always comes back bigger," he told Heat. "Cheryl has been through rougher things than this, so this is going to be no problem for her.
"The X Factor is not the only way for Cheryl to break the US, it's not like it's the only show on television."
will.i.am added: "And remember that Cheryl is a recording artist first. Over the next few months she's potentially going to be working with artists like Rihanna, Katy Perry, Usher, and of course the Peas."
It has been claimed that there was "too much negativity around" Cole, which led to her departure from The X Factor USA.
Asked if Simon Cowell was to blame, will.i.am said: "It's easy to imagine Simon as this one-man empire, but that's not the case.
"He has people he needs to answer to and sometimes his hands are going to be tied. I can only tell you what I have seen first-hand: that's a guy who deeply cares for her."
Cowell was reportedly booed by supporters of Cole in the audience for this week's Britain's Got Talent live shows.

January Jones doesn't get recognized

January Jones has the ability to become invisible to fans.

The Mad Men actress plays telepath Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class but has her own special abilities which come in handy when she’s not on screen.

“I have this knack of being able to go out and not be recognized,” says January.

“I wander around town in jeans and a T-shirt and my hair in a ponytail so no one really spots me. If I do get spotted no one believes it’s me because they think I look far too small. I think the camera must add ten pounds!”

Jones recently revealed she feels “safe” when she is followed by photographers trying to get a shot of her performing daily tasks.

“They’re always taking pictures while I’m walking my dog and shopping, which I can’t imagine is very interesting,” she said.

“The weird thing is, it kind of makes me feel safe. I live alone and I feel like they’re always there, always watching.

“If someone were to come in and rob me, there are photographers. It’s like the best security system ever.”

Kim Kardashian‘s mom is in ordained minister

Kim Kardashian‘s wedding to basketball ace Kris Humphries could be very much a family affair with her own mother conducting the vows.

Kris Jenner has revealed she is more than qualified to take a central role in her daughter’s big day with NBA star Kris.

“I’m actually an ordained minister,” Jenner said.

“I knew it might come in handy one day but I’m not sure where Kim will want me on the day.”

Kris recently urged her superstar daughter not to change her name when she weds.

“I don’t think she should take his name and be Kim Humphries,” says Kris. “I think she needs to be Kim Kardashian because she’s worked so hard to get where she is.”

Insiders recently revealed that Kim will make millions from her big day.

“Kris Humphries might not have known what he was getting into. This wedding is going to happen very much in the public eye,” a source told PopEater.

“And they will make millions off of it.”
