David Beckham has been accused of "driving so recklessly" prior to becoming involved in an LA car crash.
The football superstar was travelling through the city with his 12-year-old son Brooklyn earlier this month when he collided with another vehicle, resulting in its 40-year-old driver being taken to hospital for treatment.
In 911 calls made by a fellow commuter and recently obtained by TMZ, Beckham is said to have been "definitely speeding" ahead of crashing his luxury Cadillac SUV.
"I just want to let you know that the guy with the SUV was speeding all the way from LAX," a female
caller told police at the time. "He was speeding really bad. I let him pass by and he was just driving so recklessly."A male caller added: "It pulled out of the car pool lane and pulled back in, kind of breaking a couple of traffic laws. I mean, this guy was speeding. He was definitely speeding and cutting in and out of the yellow lines prior to that."
Despite the driver of the car being admitted to hospital for minor injuries, Beckham was not arrested or questioned over the incident.
Beckham's spokesperson stated: "As unfortunate as accidents are, David was not cited by the police at the scene for any violations."
