Sofia Vergara has revealed that she found having large breasts "embarrassing" while growing up.
The Modern Family actress explained that while she hated her breasts as a teenager, she is now grateful for them.
Appearing on Inside the Actor's Studio, Vergara said: "I was very skinny and I was very voluptuous. Now, they're fantastic. But when you're 13 years old?!"
Vergara was discovered on a beach
in Columbia at the age of 17, and was asked to appear in a Pepsi commercial.The actress now appears in the sitcom Modern Family as Colombian housewife Gloria Delgado-Pritchett, a role which has seen her nominated for a Golden Globe Award, a Prime time Emmy and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.
She added: "It was huge. After [the commercial] they wanted me to act, to be a TV host, everything. But I just wanted to get married [and] go to dentist school. I didn't finish though, because all of the opportunities [that arose]."
Sofia Vergara recently became the new face of CoverGirl. She is also developing a new comedy project with ABC.
