Choosing the Right "New Hairstyle"

Choosing the Right Let's talk about the way to approach the right look for you. As a stylist with Antoine du Chez, I talk to people every day about what look will suite them best. Being a color specialist and a licensed cosmetologist, I have been trained by some of the best in the industry on how to pick a certain style for whatever beautiful woman is sitting in my chair.

When trying to find the right look for an individual, it is important to notice the way their face is shaped and the type of hair they have along with the way that it falls or the "rhythm" of the hair. It is also vital to be aware of all their colors, not just the colors in the hair but the skin tone, color of their eyes and believe it or not what color outfit they have on since that mildly reflects the color of their personality. If you are working with a stylist at a reputable salon, they will be able to figure this out within seconds of meeting you.

Another really important factor is the way you want to feel. Don't forget that the freshness of your hair will wear off but if you look good that never wears off! Don't get caught up on how something looks on somebody else but stay focused on what looks good for you.

Take advantage of a "free consultation" because they can offer you the opportunity to get a little more clarity on what it is that you are looking for. It may seem unthinkable but don't be afraid to talk to a few stylists either. You may feel like you do not want to waste a stylist's time but for the most part we all want new clients and love to express our opinions.

The final factor to think about is how well you are going to maintain your new look. How committed to your look are you? If you're a pony tail girl who just washes and puts her hair up, then you may want to think twice about going with a shorter, higher maintenance look.

Change your look every few years so you're not the one who gets in drastic need of a makeover and you should be fine if you take my advice.
